Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The contest will begin on April 3, 2008 and will end on or before June 25, 2008. The contest will not be played on May 26, 2008. Participants must be residents of the state of Florida, be at least 18 years of age or older and meet the requirement that you (or anyone in your family) have NOT been a previous winner of any 101.5FM Cash Contest within the last 30 days. Full or part-time employees of Cox Radio, Inc., Cox Enterprises or its subsidiaries, SCA Promotions Inc., their advertising agencies, the owners and employees of other radio stations licensed to communities in the Tampa market, owners and employees of vendors of 976 numbers and immediate family members of any of the foregoing are ineligible. The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Only one prize will be awarded per family, household, address or residential phone number. Anyone who has misrepresented their identity will be disqualified from this and all WPOI-FM contests. Cox Radio, Inc. is the sponsor of this promotion ("101.5 FM" or "WPOI-FM").
HOW TO WIN: To be eligible, 101.5 FM listeners will be asked on-air to listen for a specific song of the day by a specific artist Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. during the promotional period. When that song starts playing listeners will then dial 727-585-1015 or 813-985-1015 or 877-999-1015. The 101st caller will be asked the following questions before being declared a Cash Winner or Finalist:
If the 101st caller answers "NO" (with the exception of Question #1) to all of these questions, he or she will be declared: (1) a Cash Winner of a pre-announced Designated Cash Prize amount; and (2) a Finalist in THE 101.5FM $101,000 SONG OF THE DAY CONTEST. If the 101st caller answers "YES" to any of these questions (with the exception of Question #1) he or she will be disqualified and the next caller (pending verification as above) will be declared the Cash Winner and Finalist.
Any winning contestant must be the participant who originally dialed the phone to the radio station to participate in the contest. No family members, friends, office associates, or any other person will be allowed to participate in the contest on another person's behalf. A contestant must provide his or her own name. If a contestant uses a false name he or she will be immediately disqualified from the contest and be ineligible to win any prize; any such conduct may be considered insurance fraud and may result in legal ramifications.
Each eligible Cash Winner will receive a designated Cash Prize as described below.
Each eligible Finalist will be given the opportunity to match (4) digits of his or her choice to range between 0-9 to the predetermined winning (4) digit number. The station contest supervisor will record the number and enter it into the designated digital DrawServer® Software. In order to constitute a valid attempt, the following must occur:
The Grand Prize for this contest is a $101,000.00. The odds of a given Finalist winning the Grand Prize are 1:10,000. If no Finalist successfully matches the predetermined (4) digit number in exact order according to the contest rules and the terms and conditions of WPOI-FM's insurance contract with SCA Promotions Inc, no Grand Prize will be awarded.
A maximum of one $101,000.00 Grand Prize will be awarded in the event that a given Finalist meets all contest requirements described above, and the terms and conditions of WPOI-FM's insurance contract with SCA Promotions Inc. Prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for an alternative prize substitution. All taxes and associated fees are the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. WPOI-FM is not responsible for and will provide no warranties regarding the use of any prize.
HOW TO CLAIM PRIZES: WPOI-FM requires that all winners visit WPOI Radio Studios, 11300 Fourth Street North, Suite 300, St. Petersburg, Florida 33716, during regular business hours to claim their prize.
Each winner will be required during that visit to show identification with his or her complete name, birthdate, and address acceptable to WPOI-FM. Each winner will be required to execute in a form acceptable to WPOI-FM an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release form releasing WPOI-FM and its corporate parents and its affiliated entities, from any and all claims of liability, damages or taxes arising from or relating to participation in the contest or in reception and use of the prize. By claiming a prize, each winner and his/her parents or guardian consent to the use by WPOI-FM or its affiliated companies, of his/her name, voice, likeness, picture and/or biographical information for public relations, and agrees to sign a form authorizing such use before picking up the prize. Furthermore, at that time the winner must provide WPOI-FM with his or her correct social security number and/or Federal Tax ID Number. Winners will also be required to sign a W-9 form at time of prize pick-up. Failure to do any of the foregoing may, at WPOI-FM's option, result in forfeiture of prize, which will not be re-awarded to anyone else at WPOI-FM's discretion.
By participating in this contest, contestants and winners agree to hold harmless WPOI-FM, its agencies, advertisers, licensees, and immediate families of any and all legal action from any incident or act whether known or unknown resulting from participating in this contest.
By participating in this contest, each winner agrees to the use of his or her name, voice and picture for press, publicity, promotional, or advertising purposes by WPOI-FM or its licensees without compensation and waive any claim of royalty, for said use, unless prohibited by law. Any calls to 101.5 FM phone lines may be recorded for use on air any time.
Additionally, each Finalist, by participating in this contest, waives in perpetuity any claim against WPOI-FM for the Grand Prize or any damages or claims related in any way thereto, and agrees to look solely to the insurance provider, SCA Promotions Inc, and not to Cox Radio, Inc., for any Grand Prize payment.
MISCELLANEOUS: Void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law. No purchase is necessary.
In the event of any dispute regarding the contest, eligibility, or the contest rules, the decision of 101.5 FM management is final.
101.5 FM is not responsible for loss of service to 727-585-1015 or 813-985-1015 or 877-999-1015 due to overload, busy signals, cell phone drop out or any other factor that may prevent an individual from completing his/her phone call. In the event of interruption of power or telephone service to 101.5 FM during the time(s) of the contest and prior to accepting the 101st caller, the contest will be replayed at the resumption of service, as announced on 101.5 FM.
Winners are responsible for tax liability for all prizes. WPOI-FM will issue an IRS Form 1099 to cash prizes valued at $600 or more and will report said prize to the IRS for the tax year in which the prize will be awarded. Winners must authorize deduction of such taxes, if any, from the prize if required by law.
Should any dispute arise over the interpretation of these rules or the implementation of the contest or award of prizes, each contestant by his or her participation in this contest consents to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the courts of Hillsborough County, Florida.
Sponsor reserves the right to amend or cancel the promotion of this contest at any time. Participation in the Contest constitutes an agreement by each contestant to comply with these Official Rules. WPOI-FM, and Cox Radio, Inc. reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest and/or rules at any time if it determines, in its sole discretion, that fraud or technical failures have destroyed the integrity of the Contest.

- The Finalist must provide his or her full name along with (4) digits in order chosen between 0-9.
- The contest supervisor will record the finalist's name and the (4) digits in order chosen by the contestant on the first unoccupied line of the official contest sign-in registration form.
- After completing this information, the contest supervisor will enter the Finalist's (4) digit number code into the designated digital DrawServer® Software, followed by the * key on the key pad.
PRIZES & ODDS: The daily Designated Cash Prize amount will be announced each day during the contest. The odds of winning a Designated Cash Prize depend on the number and order of callers and the contestant's skill in remembering the specific song by a specific artist.
- In order for the Grand Prize to be awarded, the (4) digits in order the Finalist has chosen (as recorded by the contest supervisor on the official sign-in form and entered into the digital DrawServer® Software) must exactly match, in order, the predetermined winning (4) digit number. The winning (4) digit number will be pre-selected by SCA Promotions Inc, and will be contained in a sealed security envelope and programmed into the digital DrawServer Software which will open only if the match is exact.
- The event of the designated digital DrawServer® Software opening does not by itself constitute a winning attempt.
- In order to be considered a winning attempt:
- a. The (4) digits the eligible Finalist has selected must exactly match in order with the predetermined winning (4) digit number selected by SCA Promotions Inc. that is contained in the sealed security envelope and programmed into the designated digital DrawServer® Software.
- b. The contest supervisor must record the (4) digits of the eligible Finalist's choosing on the sign-in registration form;
- c. The contest supervisor must enter the (4) digits of the eligible Finalist's choosing into the designated digital DrawServer® Software, and trigger the locking mechanism to open the designated digital DrawServer® Software only by means of entering that winning (4) digit number.
- The Grand Prize will not be awarded as a result of any of the following reasons including, but not limited to:
- a. Any (4) digit number in order provided by a Finalist that does not match the actual pre-selected (4) digits in order.
- b. Any (4) digit number in order recorded by the contest supervisor on the sign-in form and entered into the designated digital DrawServer® Software that does not match the predetermined winning code contained in the sealed security envelope, and programmed into the designated digital DrawServer® Software by the insurance provider.
- c. Any contest supervisor who is able to open the designated digital DrawServer® Software using a non-winning code for any reason including physically forcing entry, equipment damage, or malfunction.
- d. Any tampering with the designated digital DrawServer® Software or locking mechanism that results in the designated digital DrawServer® Software being opened.
- e. Any malfunction of the locking mechanism that results in the designated digital DrawServer® Software being opened with a non-winning code.
- f. A contest supervisor who records a 4 digit code on the official sign-in form, but fails to properly enter that code into the designated digital DrawServer® Software, thereby triggering the locking mechanism with a code different from that recorded on the official sign-in form.
- In the event of a Grand Prize Winner, the Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign an eligibility affidavit and liability release waiver before the Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize Winner must come to WPOI-FM at a mutually agreed date and time at least 2 weeks prior to delivery of the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize Winner will be required to submit his or her original, valid government-issued photo ID, as well as a copy of the same. Grand Prize winning contestants are subject to verification, including polygraph and voice analysis, of their identity by contest sponsors prior to their Grand Prize being awarded.
The Grand Prize for this contest is a $101,000.00. The odds of a given Finalist winning the Grand Prize are 1:10,000.
