Do people that cheat WANT to get caught? Is it different for men and women?
If you're like most people you live and learn the hard way - by your own experiences. And chances are, based on your experiences, you operate on certain theories you've developed over the years.
I overhead this guy at the club over the weekend saying that he believes that Men who are unfaithful in their relationships actually want their relationships to get better and want to get caught cheating so they have the opportunity to make it work. But he believes that Women don't want to get caught. He thinks that once a woman's unfaithful she already believes her relationship is over. Do you think that theory is true? Do you believe that men want to get caught and women don't?
Francis says in his experience, when his ex-wife left him for another man he thinks she wanted to get caught. He didn't realize it until later though when he found out that she had taken out a life insurance policy on him without his knowledge. After they were divorced his ex quit paying the premium!!! It shocked him a little bit! So he thinks she was just "done" and wanted to get caught and wanted him to find out everything. But generally speaking he doesn't think most people want to get caught doing something that isn't viewed very favorably in our society.
Sharon in Bradenton thinks that when a woman cheats the relationship is already over and they're ready to go so they don't care if they get caught. She knows from her past relationship that THAT'S when she started looking around - when she knew it was over already. Women, she thinks, are more faithful to men than men are to women. Men don't want get caught because they want to have everything and whoever and whenever they want.
Kyle from Clearwater totally agrees this is true. He mastered in Philosophy and Psychology in College and he learned that men, when they cheat, take chances like that due to a lustful desire. But women feel like their physical attachment to their man is lost and they believe the relationship is over.
David from Hudson thinks it's terrible that anyone cheats. They should work hard to stay to together. And for women to say that men are different somehow and want the best of all worlds is wrong...he doesn't believe any of that garbage. They should all work hard to stay together. He always hears women say they know what men want but later on they just forget to give it to them. Everyone needs to take care of everyone.
Charles is a trucker and called us from 60. He says that women always think that every man is out there to cheat on them but he's not that way. If he's gonna cheat on his wife it's over for him - the relationship's over. He's been married twice and he's in a relationship now and fixin' to get married and he's never cheated on his wives.

- Re: TammiThanks Tammi! It would be nice if people cared as passionately about the rain forests as they do their interpersonal relationships but it doesn't seem to be the case. Feel free to call in your feedback any time!
- InfidelityCan't we find someething else to talk about? Something more important, like saving rain forests, global warming, the war, or health care? I'm tired of hearing about Tiger Woods personal life and infidelity all together!
