![]() ![]() I am jacked that Catch 23 is finally on Cool Places to Eat. This is one of my personal favorite restaurants in Tampa and if you haven't been there, you must try it! This place has one numerous awards and their Chef, Rob Wickner has won Best Chef in America from the National Restaurant Association. His talents are well on display at this phenomenal restaurant. Here is what I liked about it:Catch 23 is an incredible blend of Latin and Caribbean flavors on top of fresh fish and certified Angus steaks. It infuses the island feel with a casual, upscale setting and the creativity of the restaurant is second to none. My first experience definitely left me wanting more! When you walk into the dimly lit restaurant, you feel like you have stepped out of Tampa and into a "Floribbean" eatery. An open kitchen lets you see the food being prepared and their full bar is the perfect beginning to your evening. When you sit down the server will bring you fresh sourdough and a slice of nut bread(you really want a loaf...it is delicious)and be sure to take advantage of their wine list as you wait for your food and with such wines as Dom Perignon, they leave nothing to be left out. Their Macadamian Nut encrusted Chilean Sea Bass is their featured dish and not only will this fill you up, it will assuredly make your mouth happy! It is served on Citrus Buerre Blanc Sauce and topped with Island Mango Salsa-don't miss it. For the red meat lover, you will find nothing but fresh cut certified angus beef at Catch 23. Grilled to perfection and topped with the best flavors, these guys cook it right! No corners are cut and no preparation skipped. Following your meal, make sure you make room for dessert by boxing up your leftovers and eating them the next day, have a little Catch 23 at work! The crowd at Catch 23 is a perfect blend of families and young professionals. Whether you are looking to begin your night on the town or just have a relaxing meal with a special someone, Catch 23 will deliver on your expectations and definitely answer the call!
